Fatboy Slim brought last night's O2 Wireless to a rocking close playing remixes of The Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire and Cream.

Performing to one of the biggest audiences of the weekend so far, the Brighton turntablist, real name Norman Cook, produced a massive crowd-pleasing set that further cemented his name as the world's greatest party DJ.

Opening with a remix of his own 'Praise You', Cook then thumped out reworkings of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller', House Of Pain's 'Jump Around' and an edited accapella of Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip's 'Thou Shall Always Kill that changed the lyrics to "Fatboy Slim…Just a band."

Backed up large screens that flashed the words to tracks like 'Star 69' and images of arrows, boxes and clocks the DJ spent a lot of time dancing in front of the decks and sitting on the edge of the stage clapping along.

A mash-up of The Rolling Stones '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' with The Rockerfeller Skank got the biggest cheer of the night, though Arcade Fire's 'No Cars Go', Cream's 'Sunshine Of My Love' and The Chemical Brothers' 'Block Rocking Beats' also proved popular.

Fatboy Slim also had time to air a track from his latest project, the Brighton Port Authority which featured Iggy Pop on vocals, so fittingly the Stooges' frontman appeared on the LED screens to sing along.

Finishing with a thumping edit of Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' mixed with 'Praise You', the DJ left the stage to rapturous applause.

Earlier on fans were prevented from entering the Sandisk Tent to watch Underworld as the tent was too busy. The Essex band went on to perform hits like 'Rez' and 'Born Slippy', while Audio Bullys packed out the third tent performing 'Shot You Down'. 'We Don't Care' and new single 'Gimmie That Punk'.

Bootsy Collins' James Brown tribute on the main stage that was the surprising hit of the afternoon as the bassist performed '(Get Up I feel Like A) Sex Machine', 'Soul Power' and Aretha Franklin's 'Respect'.

With the band all dressed in red and Collins himself wearing a large pimp hat, the funk legend brought out a James Brown look-a-like to sing the tracks as scantily clad dancers grooved either side of him.

Elsewhere Deadmau5 DJed on the main stage wearing a giant mouse mask, Mstrkrft filled the Sandisk Tent with dark house tracks and Does It Offend You, Yeah? performed a riotous live set.

O2 Wireless continues today with Counting Crows, Ben Harper and Powderfinger all performing.
